— BrowserSpy is a collection of free online tests
that shows you what information a website like this one
can collect about you.
DoxDesk
Parasite Detection — A Parasite is a program
that gets installed on your computer which you never asked
for, and which does something you probably don’t want
it to, for someone else’s profit. This site has free
online tests to detect such software.
Spybot
Search & Destroy. This free Spyware detection program
has a large and regularly-updated database to identify,
eradicate and block dialers, adware and spyware.
Trend Micro. A
free, online virus scanning service. Click on 'Free Online
Scan' and follow the prompts to check your computer for
viruses. While this is a useful tool, SLPowers strongly
advises that real-time virus scanning software be installed
on all computers.
